Another day, another province
We are in Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island. It was a rather long drive, but we took some pictures along the way after deciding to travel the coastal road in Nova Scotia.
We have arrived in Baddeck which will be our home for the next couple of days.
When we arrived, we took a boat cruise on the Bra D'or lakes. This is the place of the summer home of Alexander Graham Bell and on this cruise we got to see the home from the water,
The first picture above is the main home, which is not in use but still maintained by a grounds keeper who lives in a home near by. The second picture was their boathouse which was built over a pond on this estate. There are quite a few other homes on this property that belongs to the descendants of Graham-Bell. Both he and his wife are buried at the top of the hill overlooking the main home.
This was our first time on a sail boat, but the weather was great, water was fairly calm and we had a very funny captain, who introduced himself by holding up a book titled "sailing for dummies".

We had dinner afterwards and have now settled in for the night. We'll see what we get into tomorrow.
