Getting ready
It is the day before our Wedding. Now just to share with those who may not know us well, Barb and Dave have been together for 12 years as of July 8th, 2017. We have both previously been married and each with our own families. We have a wonderful home and did not want to have the big traditional wedding, walking down the isle of some church, although the little church in Edinburgh Castle was tempting. It was big enough for about 7 people so we decided maybe not.
Our plans then are to take a road trip to the East Coast of Canada. Barb and I have both seen PEI and Newfoundland but she has never been to Nova Scotia, so we will drive, explore, share pictures and see what kind of trouble we can find along our way. We hope you follow along.
Our hopes for "the big day" is to take some wonderful pictures outside, enjoy a meal with our family and then have a simple but elegant ceremony in front of family and friends, then turn on the music have a party. As a 60+ couple, we really don't need anything other than the memories this day will bring to us, and the knowledge that we will share the rest of our lives together, which has always been our plan.

Bruce and I are happy to be the first to "officially" comment on your page and wish you the very best tomorrow and going forward! You are a special couple and we are looking forward to hearing about your "down east" adventures. As you know, Canada is a pretty terrific country, so please don't get into too much trouble and spoil our GREAT reputation. Easier for Barb than Dave, we know!!! Anyway, congratulations on tomorrow...may you have many, many more wonderful years together!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb and Dave, Thank you for sending your blog details, it will be great to follow you on your new adventure. Good luck and best wishes for tomorrow. Love July & Murray.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read 12 years I thought "it can't be" -- but then recalled 10 years ago you attended Alex's wedding. Have a wonderful trip
